Real Data.
Real Sessions.
The Forge platform collects anonymised, aggregate training data across thousands of lifting sessions — including form scores, volume progression, RPE distributions, and rep quality metrics across squat, bench press, and deadlift.
We are building a formal research licensing program that will allow qualified researchers and institutions to access this dataset for academic and applied sports science research.
This creates a flywheel: more users → richer data → better research → smarter app → more users.
5-Step Process
- Researchers apply for a data license agreement
- Upon approval, anonymised datasets are provided under a defined scope
- Papers submitted for review by the Forge research team
- Approved publications are featured here on this page
- Key findings integrated directly into the Forge app — so users benefit from current research in real time
